Work - The Secret of Success

Without work we can never succeed. A lazy man is bound to die in the “struggle for existence” , he cannot live. ‘Hammer on ! Hammer on!’ is the first key to success .My friends without work we can never achieve success. Once somebody asked Swami Ram Teerath that ‘how can I reconcile continuous labor with the unaffected ,impersonal pure nature of Self or Atman as demonstrated by Vedanta?’ This particular concept of Vedanta is responsible for laziness and inaction as it ask us to inculcate the realization of rest and peace of Divine Self and by preaching renunciation(rejection)or Sanyasa . Swami ji replied at once that this objection is due to the terrible misunderstanding of the nature of work or renunciation.

Swami ji explained “What is work?” ‘Intense work ,according to Vadanta, is rest. Here is a paradoxical statement, “work is rest”. That is what Vedanta preaches. The body works automatically and the mind is absorbed in the work to such a degree that “I am working” is totally gone ,the credit seeking self is absent , the ego is lost .This nonstop work directly leads you to the highest YOGA i.e. KARAM YOGA. Vedanta wants us to rise above the little self , the small ego with the help of intense work. The more a person rise above the little self or ego , the more glorious works come out of him. If we want success or prosperity ,we have get it by our acts in everyday life, we have to burn our body and muscles , cremate them in the fire of use. We have to use them ,we have to consume our mind and body, have to crucify them in the fire of hard work. Work- Work and then will the light shine through us. All work is nothing but the burning of our mind and body in one direction, aim- just for the sake of work . Remember , intense work , labor is the greatest form of YOGA . A person will be greatest worker to the world till he is enjoying his work like king.

It is very easy to say ‘Work-Work,’ but it is very hard to work . Most of the people who failed to meet their dreams lost their path of persistent work . They want result according to their wish but forget the rule that’ result is outcome of WORK’. Recently you may have observed that big cricket players have lost their charm in the game and were forced to sit out side. Not only cricketers, French cyclist Armstrong or former golf champion Tiger Woods and number of other examples are there . They started focusing on success, while success was the out come of preparation and performance in the field. If you are enjoying your work nothing to think apart from that. When a person starts thinking about results, he starts to search other aspects apart from work as well, to get results in his or her favor. Our self less efforts can do wonders but we have to work- work and work. Mind it, if someone else is living with this principle , no-doubt he will be more successful .
